MISSING BOY.
DISCOVERED THIN AND ILL. REPAIRING FAMILY FORTUNES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Thursday. While working on the railway line this morning a gang of surfacemen observed a small boy playing round a haystack. Bearing in mind the fact that James Colin Gray, the nine-year-old son of Mr C. W. Gray, Blenheim, had been missing since Saturday, they called him over and interrogated him. Tim hoy denied his identity, but the men idcntiiled him from tho description circulated and he was handed into (lie charge or Ids father. 'Die hoy is thin and ill. lie has apparently been sleeping in a tide in Hie haystack and subsisting on anything which lie could find to eat. Tim father states that, the lad heard someone suggest there, was gold to he found in Wither Hills and ho set out to repair the family fortunes, scratching about in. gullies and sleeping under hushes at night.
