LATE MR E. PRENDERGAST.
APPRECIATIVE REFERENCE. At tho annual meeting of the Waikato Hockey Association the president made feeling reference to the death of the late Mr E. G. Prendergast. He was a most accomplished writer and had done much on behalf of the association to further the interests of the game. It was a matter of keen regret to sfle a- man of his attainments cut oIT so early in his career. The meeting stood in silence as a mark of respect.
