HAMILTON BOROUGH.
MEETING OF COUNCIL. ROUTINE BUSINESS. The Mayor, Dr. P. D. Pinfold, presided at the meeting of the Borough Council last evening. There were also present Gr. A. J. Denz, Deputy Mayor, Crs. H. 'D. Caro, P. 11. Clapham, W. A. Gurteis, W. W. Dllllcar, G. Lafferty, C. Nisbet and S. V. Tyler and Messrs W. L. Wad-del, town clerk, R. Worley, engineer and I. Webster, electrical engineer. • Authority to inspect the 'Hamilton valuation rolls from time to time was refused a local firm of estate agents. The Hamilton Fire Board’s annual report on places of amusement stated that fill was in order. The Waikato Hospital Board advised that under lbs estimates and proposed apportionment for 1933-34, the increased levy to the Hamilton Borough would be £B9, making a total of £3629. Work on a stormwater drain in Nixon Street was recommended for favourable consideration when the estimates are under discussion. It was recommended • that the borough engineer should bring down a report on all streets which are not to permanent level with a view to bringing them down to correct grade with relief labour.
