THE HAMILTON CLUB. The opening of the Hamilton Badniinlf.n Club look place on Saturday, wlmii there was a good attendance of players and friends. in opening Ihe courts, the promoter, Mr It. 11. Fow, outlined the efforts of a willing band of workers in arranging the delails. He expressed his deep appreciation for their cooperation which has made it possible for I hem to offer excellent courts im•exeelled in the Waikato. lie assured Hie members Thai a 'Successful and happy season was ahead, under the leadership of their president. Hr. A. \Y. Gower, and a si rung eominil lee. All exhibition of badminton was given by four of llie chib’s leading players, R. 'J'. Fear and A. Dempster defeating A. W. Gower and 11. 11. Fow by a narrow margin. The eiiib is the first independent badminton club in be formed In Hamilton. The membership is filling rapidly.
