THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. QUIET SPELL EXPERIENCED. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The Auckland stock-brokers are experiencing a quiet spell, and sales are not nearly as numerous as last week. At this morning’s call buyers came in again for Government of per cent, stocks, offering £9B for the February Issue and £IOO for September. Four and a-half per cents were wanted at £9-1 10s. The banking section was steady, with New Zcalands in demand sixpence lower at £2 2s Gd. Milne and Clioyce's deb. was on otfer at 13s, and Wright, Stephenson’s pref. shares at 13s Gd. Gas shares were in demand at par, with holders asking threepence higher. Buyers for Mosgiel Woollens moved up to* £6 15s for £5 shares paid to £4. Henry Jones shares were asked for at £1 IGs 3d. A seller came in at £1 17s Gd.

SALES RECORDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKL AN D, Wednc sda y. The following sales were recorded on the Stock Exchange to-day: Wilson’s Cement, 29s Gd. Bonds, 51 per cent. (1911), £95 10s.
