The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Cofnpany, Ltd., report:— At our Ohinewai stock sale yesterday a good entry of all classes came forward. Cow beef, of which a good entry was penned, sold under good competition at late firm rates. Boner cows and bulls also showed an improvement on late sales. The advertised entry of steers attracted good competition with prices right up to recent ruling values. Quotations: — Light fat steers, £4 4s to £4 10s; medium fat cows, £3 14s to £3 18s; light fat cows and heifers, £2 18s to £3 7s; heavy second quality fat cows, £2 8s to £2 15s; killable cows, 38s to £2 ss; fresh conditioned cows, 25s to 325; boner cows, 11s to 225; heavy bulls, £3 10s to £4 8s; lighter bulls, £2 to £2 15s; grown store steers, £4 6s to £4 10s; 3J-year Shorthorn steers, £3 6s to £3 14s; 2J-year Shorthorn steers, £2 12s to £2 19s; 2- Shorthorn steers, £2 to £2 6s; 3- Friesian steers, 34s to £2 9s; 2-year Hereford Cross steers, 30s to 345; 2A-year to 3-year Shorthorn Jersey cross steers, 23s to 295. ‘ FARMERS’ CARTING.
