CHILD KILLED. AUCKLAND, Monday. Fatal injuries were received by Iho Ihree-year-old son of .Mr and Mrs J). Howard, of Morningsidr, when a molor-ear, driven by Mr Howard, overturned at Wharehine, on Saturday.
SINGLE MAN DROWNED. CUEY.M( II'TiI. Sunday. A single man. Mr Arlhiir Nicholson, aged 3(1. of Cumberland, was drowned this morning al. Rapahne Reach while surf balhing willi oltaer members of a picnic parly. The tide was falling and a backwash 1111 o\jt oo I o 1 11 \ set in. carrying Mr Nicholson away. Deceased was able to swing.
