Mario Burke was playing principal liny In the ".Mother Goose" pantomime at. the l’alaco Theatre, Manchcster, at Christmas. A critic says: Mario Burke as Bobble, the principal boy—her first, appearance in such a ro l'e—will rank among her very best seen hero (or elsewhere) for many years. Site cuts a fine figure, and both acts and sings up to the best traditions of pantomime. She has many opportunities, and scored a particularly big hit, with her rendering of "In Old Shanty Town," in addition to such numbers as “Now We’ll All Be Happy," "I Love a Parade" with children's chorus', and “Climbing the Stairway .of Love.”
