TAURANGA TOURNAMENT. ONEHUNGA THE WINNERS. HAMILTON LOSE SEMI-FINAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAURANGA, Friday. In the semi-finals of the bowling tournament after an exciting game, Tauranga (Monlell) defeated Hamilton (Beil) by two, an extra head having to be played. Onehunga 22, defeated Tauranga (Mantell), 11, in the final. For just half the game Tauranga held a good lead, but Onehunga, playing a splendid game, took the lead and the game finished on the 20th. head.

THE FRANKTON CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES, The ohampionsnip singles competition oonduoted by the Frankton Bowling Club has been completed, the title going to Whlneray after a keen tussle over the final games. Whlneray played consistently good bowls throughout the series, and his success was well merited. He defeated Childs in two successive games to win the championship. The following were the results of the concluding rounds:— Sixth round —-Whlneray beat Childs; Anchor beat Horton, Hawkins beat Barrell; Watts beat Astle. Seventh round. —Whlneray beat Anchor;'Childs beat Watts; Hawkins a bye. Eighth round—Childs beat Hawkins; Whlneray a bye. Ninth round. —Hawkins beat Whlneray; Childs a bye. Tenth round.—Childs (2 lives) beat Whlneray (2 lives); Hawldns (1 life) a bye. Eleventh round.— Whlneray beat Hawkins; Childs a bye. Twelfth round. —Whlneray (1 life) beat Childs ('2 lives). 'Final.—Whlneray beat Childs, 18—17. MORRINSVILLE CLUB. In the deciding game of the Morrlnsville Bowling Club’-s singles championship between S. Cornish and N. Coghill the forme? won by 20 —13. Cornish will represent the Morrinsville club in the South Auckland champion of champions competition.
