APPRECIATION.
(To the Etiltor.) Sir, —As a recent arrival in Hamilton I was one of th 9 audience at the concert provided at the Y.M.C.A., and was equally delighted with the quality, generally, of the entertainment and amazed at the poor patronage afforded it. The artists compared more than favourably with the best I have heard In the city, one item in particular being outstanding. It is true that the hall was not of the best, and that perhaps the management of the concert left a little to be desired, but the talent displayed was a worthy recompense to those who might have been slightly disappointed m these respects. Sunday night ooncerts in the city are usually paoked, and I do not think it is due wholly to there being no “talkies" on that evening, nor to the fact that apart from a silver coin collection, they are free, Tout that the publio appreciate the fare provided. ■I reiterate that the standard of performance here merits the attendance and interest of the townspeople. —1 am, etc., R. GOLDSTEIN. Hamilton, February 17, 1933.
