THE FOURTH WAIKATOS. NEXT WEEK’S REUNION. LARGEST FAMILY CONTEST. Arrangements are well advanced for the reunion of descendants of the old 4th Waikato Regiment to be held at Steele Park next Saturday, February 25. Providing the weather Is favourable a large attendance Is likely from present-day representatives of the pioneers of Hamilton. It Is proposed to oonduot a competition among families for the largest number of descendants of any one member of the original “Old Fourths." Enrties a-e not necessarily oonflned to descendants of those who landed on the “Ranglrlrl” in 1864. In order to give the contest a wider interest husbands and wives of blood relations are to be regarded as “descendants." A live and energetio committee is busy preparing a full programme of sports and other events for the entertainment of the gathering, though it is oertaln that the indulgence of reminiscences of the early days will prove the main attraction. A list is being prepared of the original members of the 4th Waikatos and the co-operation of relatives is sought in making It oomplete. Names so far gathered are as follows: — Knox, Vincent, Smith, Kelly, Odium, Tease, Coombes, Alexander, Heed, Cassidy, Pearson, Andrews, Munro, Murles, J.
