TRAGEDY IN NEW GUINEA. NINE VICTIMS REPORTED. GOVERNMENT FORCE AMBUSHED United Press As=-' T»l. Copyright. CANBERRA, Jan. 26. Hostile tribesmen in the Morobe district of New Guinea killed two white men, William Naylor and Emile 'Clarius, and nine native carriers on January 7. The white victims were prospectors who were working in a native area. A Government party went to the scene and was ambushed, n a subsequent tight three natives were killed, but there were no casualties among the Government's force.
