JOCKEY INJURED
J. H. M.CRAE BREAKS COLLARBONE HORSE CRASHES INTO RAILS. The well-known hurdle horseman, J. H. Mcßae, sustained a broken collarbone when his mount, SubEditor, fell during training operations at Te Rapa this morning. Sub-Editor, who started near the mile post had jumped one flight of hurdles and was approaching the second w’hen he collided with the rails, falling heavily. The horse was slightly cut about but not severely Injured. Mcßae, who is a married man, residing at Te Awamutu, had come especially to school Sub-Editor this morning. He had been engaged to ride the horse in forthcoming hurdle events but the mishap will keep him out of the saddle for a few weeks.
