Brownie Pranks
EVERYONE, Although they ofton make mistakes, the Brownies sometimes do good; and yesterday, seeing a fox cruelly setting a trap to catch rabbits, they thought hard of some way in which they could set about TRAPPING A TRAPPER. So they went over to the fox and asked him what ho was doing. “ Oh,” said he, “ I find it a bother .chasing rabbits for my dinner, so I'vo bought this trap and have just set it to catcii some.” “ Dear me,” said a Brownie, “that's very clever of you. But do toll us how it works.” “Certainly," said tho fox, “ i'll explain it to you. You see, directly the rabbit comes along, lie doesn't see the trap under the grass, and puts his foot on tho spring, “and tho trap—” But just then tho trap clicked to, and the Brownies saw that that fox wouldn't bother about rabbits for a while I PETER PAN, '
