DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
OUTBREAK AT PUKEMIRO. AWAKENED BY BARKING DOG. . HUNTLY, Thursday. A four-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr and Mrs B. D. Segrave, of Pukemiro Junction, was destroyed by lire at 2.15 a.m. to-day. Mr Segravc was awakened by the barking of his dog at the bedroom window, lie awakened his wife, and with there eiglitmonths-old baby, they escaped through the window, dwo oilier children who were asleep in a room at the back of the house were quickly rescued. All the contents were destroyed. The insurances are £IOO on the house and £IOO on the contents, < both in the New Zealand office.
