Sir Hubert Wilkins, speaking at a luncheon of tourist agents, said lie had long intended to eall attention to I lie pleasure of Antarctic travel for tourists who had an unjustifiable fear of the Antarctic. There were no worse storms in the “roaring forties" ii)oii occurred sometimes in the Black Sea. The famous explorer suggested a world tour from north to south, via the Orient, the Indies and Australia, thence to tiie Antarctic from the south of New Zealand to the Ross Sea, and from there to Cape Horn, the talklands and South America. Lady Wilkins is to accompany her husband on next season’s Antarctic trip. Mr Lincoln Ellsworth, who is to be married, will also be accompanied bv his wife. Lady Wilkins will write a hook on her experiences m Antarctica. Special equipment and apparel will be taken by her to ensure her safety and comfort.
