A STATEMENT.
(Xo the Editor.) Sir,—ln view of the approaching debate on the Douglas Social Credit proposals I wish to state, on behalf of the local Douglas Social Credit Association, that we accept Mr A. R. D. Fairburn as a competent student and qualified exponent of Social Credit. Though a stranger to us personally, lie has been recommended by colleagues In whose judgment we have implicit confidence. Whilst not seeking debates at this introductory stage of our activities, and not admitting the tenability of our proposals to hinge upon any such single issue, we are nevertheless cordially supporting Mr Fairburn and arc wishful to make the fixture an unqualified success.—l am, etc., C. A. MAGNER. Te Kowhai, November 28, 1932.
