HOLIDAY BY THE SEA. CAMP LEAGUE'S APPEAL. PUBLIC SUPPORT WANTED. A community service which needs no recommendation to the people of this district is the annual camp eondueled by the* Waikato Children’s Gamp League for the children of needy parents. The annual holiday "of two weeks at the League’s line Port. Waikato Camp lias brought, happiness and belter health to hundreds of youngsters in the past few years. There arc many children in Ibis dislriel who would derive inestimable beneiil from a holiday by I lie sea. and the League intends to send 2mi of them to the ramp again this year. To accomplish Ibis worthy aim funds are required, and Ihe League is appealing to Hie public for assistance in Ibis direction. Already a number of offers have been received, but a considerable amount of labour and finance is needed to properly care for 200 youngsters, and as Hie League depends largely upon Hie public in carrying out its work if is hoped that the fullest support will he forthcoming. Tlie ramp lias as iis motto, “None may enter who can pay. none can pay who enter." The League lias received a letter from the Health Department. saying; “You may he interested to know that the health stamp campaign has taken a hold in Invercargill, and the local organisation is conducting a house-to-house sale of stamps. I also notice Dial they have adopted your motto.” Those who feel disposed to assist in any way may do so by communicating with Mrs H. C. Ross. the. secretary, or Mr W. H. Paul, the chairman, at the Winter Show office.
