SCEPTICS UPBRAIDED.

MR DALLIMORE CRITICAL

HEALING FOR THE FAITHFUL

SICKNESS PENALTY OF SIN

Alexandra Hall was again crowded last night when Evangelist A. 11. Daliimore continued his revival lire mission. It was a very orderly meeting, and there appeared lo he little of the opposition element present. In the course of his address Mr. Dallimore frequently quoted cases of the remarkable healing which was bestowed upon those who believed, and lie had a word lo say on the dark future that awaited unbelievers. “ There is a big section of humanity that does mock God, and scoff at Him.” He said, “ I can’t sec them being received on equal terms with the believers when He comes. It seems to me that there is enough in ihe Bible for anyone with average intelligence to see that His healing is obtainable through faith. There is evidence of that in this hall. Vet there are people who would not believe in God even if He walked througli Ibis hall. Christ gave us this healing, but we are nailed to the Cross every day because we believe in Jlis power. Both on the street and in Ihe pulpit wc are condemned, hut I’ll challenge anyone to prove that this healing power has been withdrawn from the world. There is no such statement in God’s word, which says that there is healing for everyone who believes. Oh! the fallen state of the Church to-day. It’s time they got the Holy Ghost. Sickness and Revival Fire.

“ Christ Is despised and rejected today as literally as ho was of old. Everyone of us who tries to teach that He has given us His healing is nailed to the Cross, hut they cannot stop us from getting our blessings and healing. AH’the opposition in the world won’t stop that. They would far sooner see you stretched out on the operating table than put. you in the hands of Christ, to get healing without payment, pain, or operation. The most deplorable thing we are up against to-day is sickness. A strong •man can lie stricken down, but I’m not allowed to pray for him. They pay their money for medical treatment, but if I pray for healing I am regarded as a demon. Pin is the primary pause of sickness. Our fathers .sinner}' before us, and we must suffer. If you knew enough about sickness you would find that it is all the result of sin. Because t teach what Christ taught about healing I am hounded like a dog. Why. a short time ago 1 was supposed to have been hounded out of New Zealand by Ihe opposition, hut F m'still here and while there is work to he done I intend to remain. I heard that there was a band of young men coming here to-night to break up our meeting. But why should they want to do Ibis? Is it because I'heal little children? There are men among you who arc out of work. I will pray for you men as I have prayed for others. “ There was a horse called Peace, who was so lame that it could not walk. They sent for a handkerchief and he was healed. Surely there was nothing wrong in my healing that horse. I do not know the horse, but I love it. If I was doing definite harm against children and horses and others for whom I offer my prayers then into the river with me. I have many letters about dogs, cats, and other pets, and why shouldn’t I heal them. Who made the animals, and who made ■humans? Why God did, and I’ll tell you unbelievers something.* Tf your ungodliness continues God will heal the animals and leave you to rot in your sin. It’s no use taking the name of God on your lips and having something different in your hearts. You saw ihe little Maori boy who was ■carried in here week after week, a deplorable case of sickness. Well, ho walked into the hall last week. (Applause). lie was healed, in spite of what the unbelievers say. If anything hurts me it is ihese mockers who come up here. When I see them I become a raging fury and if these people only knew how I feel they would think twice before coming up. If I did not hold myself in check at Christ’s bidding there would be some funerals around here.

Keeping Away From Them. “ Can -you see me before that little crowd of investigators,’’ he said, in referring to those in opposition to his work. “ Why, they were looking for a lamb to shear. They might just as well have chosen a rhinoceros, because my hide is just as thick. The Lord told me not to go near them, and I said “ All right, Lord.” The other day, a woman came and told me that her husband had deserted her 12 years ago. She asked me to pray for that man’s return, and did ■he come back? Well, they are on their honeymoon right now. My work is being attributed to Satan by those fools who cannot read their Bibles. There’s a judgment bar at which all these things will be settled. Jf you are abject fools enough to still think that my workers and I are hypnotists who force people down onto the" floor I’m sorry for your brains. Why, if they built asylums for spiritual lunatics, my word, they would he packed within five minutes like the proverbial box of sardines. Don’t he spiritual lunatics, friends.” The speaker concluded his address bv exhorting his audience, to avail themselves of the healing which was offered them. Tin; “laying out” ceremony followed and before long the front of the hall was strewn with prostrate figures. The number of candidates for iliis form of blessing did not seem to be as large as at previous meetings, and the ... service ended at about 10 o'clock.
