LONDON MARKET FIRM
CHEESE RATES STRONGER
The London butter market is firm and a further advance is recorded ay Dalgety and Go., who have been notified that prices have advanced 4s per cwt. over their last advices. Cheese prices are also stronger as the result' of short supples, but further shipments are due early and slightly lower figures are quoted for their cargoes to arrive. Merchants have received the following cablegrams from their London houses, dated November 28: — Dalgety and Company, Limited, from Samuel Page and Son. —Butter: Prices are 4s higher (last quotations finest, S6s to 80s). Joseph Nathan and Company, Limited, from Trengrouse and Nathan Limited.—Butter: New Zealand, finest, 925; first, 90s. The market is firm after a sharp advance. Cheese: White, 635; coloured, 60s to 61s. Short on the spot; quoted to land ex Remuera, Is to 2s discount.
BUTTER STEADY: CHEESE FIRMER (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The New Zealand Producers’ Cooperative ’Marketing Association, has received a cable dated November 29, from the London office reading: “Butter is steady and cheese is firmer. Butler: New Zealand, finest 925, firsts 90s; Danish, 116 s. Cheese: white 645, coloured 63s to 645. V
