EVENING SPORTS.
MEETING AT STEELE PARK. CYCLE EVENTS DECIDED. The first evening meeting of the Hamilton Sports Club’s season was held at Steele Park last night, when two cycling events were decided. Owing to the non-arrival of some of the runners their two races were postponed. Following were the results of the cycling:— Half-mile handicap: 0. Barr, 90yds, 1; F. Bath, 55yds, 2. Won by a wheel. One and a-half miles handicap: J. Harcourt, scr., i; 0. Barr, 200yds, 2. Won easily.
