A large monkey entered a room In a Delhi residence and carried away a two months’ old baby from its cradle. Tlie animal ascended a tree and fondled the hairy as if it were its own. A line and cry was raised, but the monkey was not perturbed and merely made strategical moves from tree to tree in order to evade the excited crowd. Nearly half an hour had elapsed when suddenly i! occurred to Die baby's anxious father to bargain with the kidnapper by displaying a dishful of delicacies and fresh fruit. However. Die monkey refused to budge uniil Die crowd moved away to a respectable dislanec.
