RELIEF WORKER FINED. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. In (he Police Court a married roller worker. Norman F. .Munro, pleaded guilty to a charge of making a false statement in regard to his income. lie informed the Labour Department that his earnings for six months prior to October 10 had been i'i.Y it’s, whereas they amounted to £ PUL Os 8(1. An Inspector of the Labour Department. said that such cases were becoming common. Had defendant told the truth he would not have obtained employment. A fine of £5 was Imposed.
