CAMBRIDGE SUB-ASSOCIATION. COMPETITIONS CONTINUED. Dn Saturday, play was continued in the Cambridge Sub-Association’s i competitions, results being as follows: — A Grade. Cambridge No. 1 defeated Ilautapu at (lie iatior’s courts by 9 sets to 7 (10G games to 102). Each team won 1 two sets in both the ladies’ and men’s singles. Cambridge won both men’s I doubles and the ladies’ doubles were shared. Ilautapu won two of. the combined doubles and Cambirdge two. Fencourt A defeated Cambridge No. 2 at the Cambridge courts by-10 sets to 5 (108 games to 101). Fencourt ladles won all their singles, eacli team taking two sets in the men’s singles. The men’s doubles were halved, Fencourt winning, both ladies’ doubles. The combined doubles were also halved. B Grade. With the score Monovale 8 sets, Trinity 7 sets and one game to he played, llic semi-final of the G grade competition was very interesting. Monavale won throe of the men’s singles, the ladies’ singles being halved. Monavale won one of the men’s doubles, Hie oilier not being played. The ladies’ doubles were evened while Trinity won three of the combined doubles. In the other semi-final of the R. grade Ilautapu defeated Leamington 1 1 y 9 sols lo 7 (109 games to 99). The winners took one of the men’s singles and lost one of the ladies’ singles. Leamington won bolh men’s (b Hides and Ilautapu won bolh ladies’ doubles. Ilaulapu look Ilir'C combined doubles and Leamington one. Non-competition Match. In a non-competition match at Trinity on Saturday Hie home learn I defeated Monavale by 12 sets to 4 games to 03). \
St. Andrew's Club. At the adjourned annual meeting of St. Andrew's Tennis Club, Cambridge the following officers were elected: President, the Ven. Archdeacon G. G. Bell (re-elected) ; auditor, Mr A. N. do L. Willis (re-elected); secretarytreasurer, Miss M. Hayes; ground superintendent, Mr O. V. Simpson; general committee, Mrs Franklyn, Miss G. Moore, Rev. Templar, Messrs M* Weathered and L. Stewart. DUNLOP SHIELD. TE PUKE DEFEATS ROTORUA. TE PUKE, Monday. In the first round of the Dunlop Shield tennis competition the Te Puke team defeated Rotorua by 10 matches to 6.
