CONFIRMATION SERVICE
CEREMONY AT THE CATHEDRAL. LARGE CONGREGATION PRESENT. Every pew was occupied, and additional seats had to be obtained to accommodate the large congregation at the Cathedral last night, when the Bishop of Waikato conducted a confirmation service. Chairs were placed in Ihe side aisles, hut even, these were insufficient to seat the ever-in-creasing number of worshippers, and by the time the service commenced (here were chairs in the centre aisle. It was an inspiring service. Fortysix young people offered themselves for confirmation, and at the conclusion of the confirmation service the Bishop preached an instructional sermon to them, urging them to realise that their chief concern was in heaven, and to build their lives on a spiritual foundation.
