Verdigris on woollens can he removed with, an acid such as vinegar. First rub in plenty of salt, then pour on enough vinegar to cover and squeeze till clean. Afterwards wash in soapy water. Water stains on sillc can often be removed by soaking them in methylated spirit, and then washing slowly in tepid soapy water.
