AUCKLAND PRODUCE. Wheat.—Another shipment of Australian fowl wheat Is due in about a fortnight. As far as merchants know this will be the last shipment from Australia under the Government’s present scheme. Prices remain unaltered around 6s 2d a bushel through store. Small quantities of fairly good quality Southern undergrade wheat have been offered around 5s 9d a bushel. Maize.—The market continues to firm in the Bay of Plenty. Quotations on rail are now unprocurable under 4s 6d a bushel. Oats and Chaff. —Prices for oats In the South have fallen considerably, and although no cheaper lines (3s lOd per bushel) have yet come on to this market lower values should be available shortly. Chaff is slow without alteration In the through store price of £8 10s a ton. Australian Barley.—With the new season’s grain available soon, merchants are clearing stocks of Australian barley. Lower levels are offering for the new season’s grain. Bran and Pollard.—Bran prices are steady, with the mills asking £5 10s a ton. ’ New Zealand pollard Is also unaltered at £'6 a ton from the mills, while merchants are placing Australian at £6 15s to £7 a ton through store on account of its better quality. Potatoes.-—The price of new potatoes has fallen further. Prices were a little firmer at 2s 6d to 3s 3d a bag of 561 b. Onions. —The market Is steady with an easier trend. A further shipment of Canadians is due on Monday. Values are around 15s 6d a case. Poultry.—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 3s 6d to 5s 6d each; not prime, 2s 6d upward; light, prime, 2s 6d to 3s 6d; not prime, Is 6d upward; fat roosters, heavy, prime, Is 3d to Is 9d; light, 9d to Is 3d; fat hens, heavy, Is 9d to 2s 3d; light, Is to Is 6d; pullets (this season's), heavy breeds, 2s 6d to 4s; light, Is to Is 2d; drakes, young, prime, Is 6d to 2s 6d; smaller, 9d upward; old, 9d to Is 3d; ducks, young, Is 6d to 2s 6d; old, 9d to Is 3d; cockerel chicks, heavy breeds, 4d to 2s Gel; light, Id lo Is 6d; day-old chicks, Black Orpington, 2d to 3id; Leghorn, 2d to 3}d; ducklings, 2sd to 3Jd; guinea fowls, 2s 6d to 3s.
