CRISIS REACHED. VON PAPEN TO RESIGN. WHAT WILL HINDENBURG DO!. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. BERLIN, Nov. 16. The Vossiche Zeitung states that the Chancellor, Herr von Papen, Is expected to report to the President, Marshal von Hlndenburg, later to-day his failure to secure the co-operation of the other party leaders, and to tender his resignation. The paper says it Is expected that the President will summon the leaders, including Herr Hitler, to discuss the question of the Reichstag supporting, or at least tolerating, the present Cabinet. Herr Yon Papen’s position is challenged by the hostility of the Centre and Bavarian Peoples’ Parties, representing over 80 seats. This follows the aloof attitude of the Socialists. One authority predicts that the President will offer the Chancellorship to any party leader able to command a majority in the Reichstag. If none fulfils that condition Herr Von Papen will become Diotator and the Reichstag will he dissolved. Others suggest that the President will seek another Chanoellor whosa record will excite less bitterness.
