Llndrum, replying to Willie Smith’s challengs to a billiards match on level terms, under the new baulk-line rule proposes six games for £3OO a-side. Llndrum will concede Smith 20,000 points start in each of the three games of a fortnight’s duration, with two sessions of ihroc hours each daily, j under ordinary rules. ! These will lie followed by three other games under the baulk-line rules, . in each of which Undrum will give < Smith 15,000 points start. The result will be decided on ihe highest aggregate. I.indrnm stipulates that the games lie played on a neutral table and adds ! that, lie will give £SO to hospitals when 1 Smith accepts. I Smith says he is willing to s>igu the 1 articles.
