A MEAN TRICK
MEDALS SOLD AS GOLD. JEWELLER SENT TO GAOL. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. In the Supreme Court Norris Blaxgll, (39), jeweller, for obtaining money by falsa pretences, on six charges, received three months’ hard labour. His Honour said: “I believe that you really thought you 'could not be touched by the law, but I also believe that you knew you were doing a mean trick.” Prisoner had made medals with a silver core and a coating of gold, and sold them as solid gold.
