WEDDINGS.

HASTIE—LOWRY. The wedding was oelebrated recently at the Morrlnsville Methodist Church betweeen Dorothy Constance Lowry, third daughter of Mr and Mrs W. R. Lowry, of “Kurunui,” Morrins- i vllle, and Harold Douglas, second son of Mrs L. L. Hastie, of Cambridge. The Rev. F. Gardner Brown performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of Ivory j georgette, the tight-fitting pin- 1 tucked bodice ending in a fully flared skirt. Her beautiful veil was held j by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of lilies of the j valley and roses. The bridesmaid, . UNDERWOOD—DARBYSHIRE. I The wedding was solemnised at the Salvation Army Citadel last evening between Emily, daughter' of Mr and Mrs D. Darbyshire, Hamilton, and Howard, youngest son of Mr and Mrs D. Underwood, of Hamilton. Lieut.Colonel J. Toomer, of Wellington, conducted the service,. Mr Gordon Robertson was best man, Miss Elsie King, of Waihi, was bridesmaid, and Lorraine Kellway was flower-girl. The bride was given away by her father, and Mrs Gower played the wadding march. There were 95 guests at the wedding breakfast, held in the Young People’s Hall. Several toasts were honoured, including that of tha happy couple. Mr and Mrs Underwood will make their home In Hamilton.
