WIDENING THE ROAD TO KHANDALLAH, WELLINGTON. —At top : A general view showing the road to Khandallah and Ngaio winding through the hills, with the harbour in the distance. The Hutt Road is im mediately below the houses round which the Khandallah Road winds after leaving sea-level. Unemployed labour is at present being utilised in widening this road, much used by motor and bus traffic. Below ; A gang cutting back a bad corner.
