A deputation of New South Wale 3 and Victorian graziers and meat exporters to-day directed the attention of Mr F. 11. Stewart, Federal Minister of Commerce, to the grave condition of the British meat market and the continuous glutting of supplies. The fear was expressed that if South American shipments of mutton and lamb continued heavy to December 31 the present lamb export season would be disastrous. Tho deputation urged that representations should be made to the New Zealand, British and Argentine Governments with a view lo arranging an all-round limitation of shipments. Mr Stewart replied that tho Ministry was alive to the danger and the whole posilion had been placed before the British Government through Mr S. M. Bruce, Commonwealth Minister in London*
