PREMIERS’ CONCLAVE.
A FUNDING LOAN. NOT ADVISABLE AT PRESENT. ADVICE OF ASSOCIATED BANKS. (Reoelved Oct. 27, 10.25 a.in.) MELBOURNE, Oot. 27. The Herald’s Melbourne correspondent says that the Premiers’ Conference has abandoned the proposal for an internal loan of £20,000,000, and is likely to agree to an alternative proposal for an internal loan ol £8,000,000 to £10,000,000. Mr J. A. Lyons informed the Premiers that the Associated Banks considered it inadvisable to float a funding loan at this juncture.
