BUILDING IMPROVING. EXPERIENCE IN HAMILTON. Signs of a gradual return to normal In the building trade have been evident In Hamilton, as In some other parts of the Dominion, over the last couple of months. Building figures in the borough have been progressively belter each month this year than during the corresponding months last year. Tills fact is symptomatic of a freer circulation of money and release of capital which has long been tied up. If the present Improvement continues at the same rate work •should he found before the year is ended for many- skilled labourers who have been unemployed for months. Last month 20 permits for buildings of a total value of £4002 were issued in the Hamilton Borough, as against 12 permits at £2835 for July, 1931. Last month’s 'contracts included the new warehouse at the corner of ColUngwood and Alexandra Streets, which is 'to cost £1857, and several dwellinghouses.
