Boyd, of Auckland, returned home yesterday from a visit to Hamilton. • • * * Miss Erena Ward, of Claudelands, has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Miss Elsie Simmons, Tauranga. V V V V Miss Dorothy White, of Hamilton, sailed by the Maunganui last week on her return to her home in England. * » • • Miss Audrey Walton, of Auckland, who has been visiting Hamilton, has returned home. « * * * A musical evening will be held at the Lyceum Club on Thursday next, August 4. * « * * Ruth Chatterton was recently adjudged “ Queen of the Movies " In a vote in which 28 important Hollywood motion picture stars cast ballots, each choosing his favourite star. Greta Garbo was second, Maurice Chevalier third, followed by George Arliss, Marlene Dietrich, Ronald Colman, Gary Cooper, and Claudette Colbert.
