MISSIONARY UNION. . Mrs M. Griffiths presided at the r monthly meeting of the P.W.M.U. at Matamata, when there was. a good attendance. The study, “Some Objections to the Christian Religion,”' was continued. Talhoa Danoe. A successful dance was held In the Talhoa Had, there being a good attendance from all surrounding districts. The music was supplied by a Matamata orchestra, and extras were played by Miss M. Leadbeater and Mr y A. Crabb. A static dance was won by Miss B. Cullen and Mr E. Davies, wffille Monte Carlo was w-on by Miss Jean Connell and Mr Harry Kean. The hall funds will benefit considerably. Personal. The Rev. A. C. Hampton, who has been 111 for some time, is recuperating at Waihi. Mrs J. W. Simpson and Miss Varley Simpson have returned from a tour in Ilawke’s Bay and Taranaki. Miss C. Hollett, Peria, has returned from Auckland. Mrs G.. Primmer, Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs J. Leask. Mr and Mrs Kearn are holidaying In Whangarci. t
