RAILWAY SERVANTS.
ELEOTION FOR PRESIDENT. MR E. DASH RETURNED. (By Telegraph.—Press Assoclailon.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants held a presidential election to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr J. Churchouse. There were three candidates, Messrs E. Dash, !M. Connolly and S. Schofield. In the final count Mr Dash was returned with 2805 votes, Mr Connelly polling 2599 votes; majority for Mr Dash 206. In an election for a representative of traffic on the council of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, Mr J. Doig polled 682 votes and Mr G. Moulton, 586.
