OBITUARY.

MR FLORENZ ZIEGFELD. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. HOLLYWOOD, July 23. The death has occurred of Mr Florenz Ziegfeld, noted theatrical producer. Mr Florenz Ziegfeld, who was born at Chicago in March, 1869, was manager and lessee of the Ziegfeld -Cosmopolitan Theatre and the Ziegfeld Theatre and joint manager of the New Amsterdam Theatre, New York, and Colonial Theatre, Boston. Mr Ziegfeld had presented Ziegfeld's Follies (“The Glorification of the American Girl”) In New York every year since 1907, introducing them in many spectacular productions. He was first married to Miss Anna Held, actress, and his second wife was also an actress, Miss Billie Burke, who has been seen in New Zealand in silent films. MRS F. E. LE BROC. The death occurred in Hamilton yesterday, after a long illness, of Mrs Frances Elizabeth Le Broe, aged 77 years. The iate Mrs Le Broc was horn in London, and after the demise of her husband about 22 years ago came to New Zealand with her family. The family settled In Hamilton, where they have lived ever since. Deceased, who leaves a wide circle of friends, is survived by two daughters, Mrs H. Hilmer and Mrs C. S. Taylor, and one son, Mr J. Le.Broc, ill of Hamilton. MR BOYD BENNIE. WHANG ARE I, Saturday. The death occurred this morning of Mr Boyd Bennie, aged 75 years. From 1905 to 1921 Mr Bennie served as inspector of mines in the Taranaki, Waihi, Thames, Huntly, and North Auckland districts. MR F. A. FORD. Mr Frederick Albert Ford, formerly of Auckland, has died at Gisborne, at the age of 78 years.
