DISPERSAL SALE.
«*: “ ST. CLARE ” JERSEYS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on the first day of their dispersal sale of the “ St. Clare ’ Jerseys, held at Halrini under instructions'from the Public Trustee in the estate of the late Mr Chas. Parker, held in conjunction with Messrs. Wright Stephenson and Company, Ltd. —The cattle came forward in only fair condition, but commanded brisk competition on their outstanding type and butterfat backing from a large crowd of buyers from all parts. Generally a very satisfactory sale was effected for the 110 pedigree cows sold. The top price of 34gns. was secured from Mrs M. A. Rogers, Kati Kati, for "Riverdale Aster,” and "St. Clare Memory ” made 30gns., the buyer being Mr E. Hoffman, Kati Kati; " Hinc Fox” made 20 Jgns., bought by Mr P. Balfour, Parawera; “ Twylish Damsel” 20gns., G. H. Hutchinson, Auckland; “ Datethorp Queen," 19jgns., J. Entwistle, Cambridge; “St. Clare Lucky Spot,” 19gns., .T. Sing, Kio Ivio; “St. Clare Neat Victoress,” 19gns., J. Williams, Wakaroa. ' Tile majority of the offering made from 10 to ISgns. More backward ditto, made G to lOgns. Others realised up to sgns.
