THIEVES IN WELLINGTON
A WAREHOUSE ENTERED. LIQUOR AND CIGARETTES TAKEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Liquor and cigarettes to the value of £BO were stolen by thieves who broke into the warehouse of Messrs W. D. Dobson and Company in Taranaki Street on Saturday night. The burglary occurred between nine and 11 p.m., the thieves apparently gaining admission through smashing in a back door. It appears that they loaded the stolen goods into some form of light motor vehicle and drove off with them.
TWO MEN ARRESTED. INTERVIEWED AT MIDNIGHT. i WELLINGTON, Monday. Some time Saturday night the warehouse of W. D. Dobson and Company \vas broken into and a quantity, of liquor and cigarettes was stolen. Shortly before midnight last night detectives spoke to a number of men in a taxi in Cuba Street, and after questioning them further searched a room in a house in Ghuznee Street. To-day two of the men, Reginald Bloomfield and George Ferguson, were charged at the Magistrate’s Court with robberv, and were remanded until June 22. Bail was refused.
