LOCAL OBSERVATIONS. Miss Bucld, of Balfour M. irvine and Webster, Ltd., supplies the following observations of the weather: Barometer. with & falling tendency. Indications are for partly fair and partly overcast weather to-day and to-morrow with heavy fog—lower temperature—southerly winds—later veering to a northerly direction, the condition will be come unsettled. Three and a-half degrees of frost were registered this morning. Mean temperature 40.5 decrees. ‘ The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for ortherly winds, moderate and There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, 'but later becoming cloudy and unsettled with rain following. Expect milder temperatures. Barometer falling.
