FATALITY ON RAILWAY.
DRIVER ON TRAIN KILLED. FIREMAN’S TRAGIC DISCOVERY. (By Telegram.—Press Association.} STRATFORD, Thursday. On the Whangamomona line this morning .the driver of a mixed train to Stratford, James Foreman, was killed. •The train was ascending a gradient on the Whangamomona saddle when the fireman, Charles Parker, who was. tending the fire, felt a bump. He turned to draw the driver’s attention, but found that Foreman was sing.He stopped the train and searched, and the body was found under the seventh wagon, terribly mutilated. Life was extinct. • t • Deceased was 38 years of age, and leaves a wife and two children.
