ROAD RACING
HAMILTON AMATEUR CLUB. EVENT FOR SATURDAY. The fifth race of the Hamilton Amateur Cycling Club will be run on Saturdav from Ohaupo to Cambridge and back, a distance of approximately jc h miles. Ten nominations have been received and the following handicaps have been declared by Mr G. :Hcid:—C. Coachman, ser; R. Tasker, 25secs; F. Stephens, 55secs; R. Hampton, R. Norman, 2mins; R. Starke, B. Waugh, 3mins; C. Bull, J. Cairns, T. Barnett, Gmins 30secs. R, Tasker rode well last Saturday, but left it too lale before he decided to catch the front men. C. Couchman should show up well as he is a capable rider, while F. Stephens-is a good man, but should pay stricter atI enl ion to training. Starke and Waugh were unlucky last, Saturday, as lhey were doing very well until Uicy met trouble. They should be near Hie I'ronl Ibis xilurday. HainpI■ in and Norman both rode a welljudged race and have the makings of Iwo first-class riders. .1. Cairns is also a promising boy, but slill lias a led to learn, while C. Bull and T. Barnett are both new riders who should do well in their first race.
