SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
At the North Island sTieep dog trials the following were the results:— Class I.—Long head, 52 'entries, from all parts of the north island: Halt’s 80-b (Waimata), 454 poin-l-s, 1; W. Thorn’s Speed (Kumeroa), 45, 2; Darcy Glynn’s Frank (Wairoa), 44 4, 3; YV. White’s Boy (Napier), 431, 4; H. It. Harris’ Kep (Taihape), 43, 5; T. Thorn's Tip and Keen (Havelock North), 424, G NORTH IBLAND ASSOCIATION. THE ANNUAL MEETING. (liy Tolcgrrapli.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Thursday. The North Island Sheep Dog Trial Association’s annual meeting was held last night. Air W. H. Gaisford (Dannevirke) was elected patron; Air T. C. Lowry (M-oawhango), president; Air A. Anderson (Gisborne), judge. A recommendation from the executive that owing to the financial position no grants should be made to centres and only gold medals allotted was adopted. It was decided that the ohairman and secretary be sent as official -delegates to the South Island championships to confer with the South Island Association. The next trials will be held at Moawhango.
