FALSE PRETENCES
EIGHT CHARGES ADMITTED. AUCKLAND, Friday. In the Police Court eight charges of false pretences were admitted by William John Davidson, aged iO, albotirer. Detect ivc-iSergeaut Kelly said accused left Hie place where lie had been working near Te Kuili, taking with him Ids employer's cheque-book, lie had visited Woilara, New Plymouth, Christchurch and Wairoa, issuing valueless cheques. Accused was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on each of two charges.
