RACING PROGRAMMES.

THE .AUCKLAND MEETING. TO BE OPENED TO-MORROW. NORTHERN HURDLES & CORNWALL. Racing and trotting programmes will be held in several parts of the Dominion to-morrow (King’s Birthday). The interest of provincial patrons will be centred on the opening day of the Auckland Racing Club’s Winter meeting at Ellerslie. Strong fields have met the acceptance and the standard of the racing will be high. A leading attraction to-morrow will be the Great Northern Hurdles In which the best' of the North Island jumpers are engaged. In the Cornwall handicap, which will be the principal race on the flat, there is also a good field and another splendid contest can be looked for. 11.15 JERVOIS HANDICAP. Of £200; 7 furlongs. (First Division.)

There are many useful hacks engaged here. Among the best favoured may be Princess Bede, Lord Val and Beaconfire. 11.55 GREEN LANE STEEPLECHASE. Of £225; about 24 miles.

Although the field is small numerically, a good race Is promised. In the absence of Claremore the best supported will be Nassock and Jen. 12.35 JERVOIS HANDICAP. Of £200; 7 furlongs. (Second Division.)
