“IT WILL PASS.” VISCOUUT SNOWDEN CONFIDENT. SAVING SPIRIT IN BRITAIN. (Official Wireless.) (Received June 2, 12.45 p-m.) RUGBY, June 1. Viscount Snowden (Lord Privy? Seal), speaking yesterday said: “The economic crisis is slow to pass, but that it will pass I have no doubt whatever.” ■Referring to the 'saving habit in Britain, he said that in the first four months of this year the weekly average savings certificates sold were 40 per cent, higher than in 1928. The grand total of saving certificates sold to April 30 last, was 1,089,000,000 representing a cash investment of about £857,000,000.
