Leaving his lawful wife on March 31, Charles Bertie Filtes, watersider, aged 49 years, on the same day 'married another woman, with whom ho became acquainted through a newspaper advertisement, and went on a honeymoon to Palmerston North, using £57 .obtained by forging and uttering a cheque in his son’s name. He pleaded guilty to-day to bigamy and also forging and uttering, and was committed for sentence.
