MOISEIWITSCH, PIANIST.

Definite arrangements have been made by Messrs J. and N. Tait for the appearance at the Theatre Royal on Tuesday, May 31, of the world-famous and very popular pianist, Benno Moisoiwitsch, who has just concluded a record tour of the Australian States., So successful were his concerts in' Sydney and Melbourne that the seasons in both cities had to be extended. Moiselwitsch began his New Zealand tour at the Town Hall in Wellington an Thursday night, and a very largo audience displayed Its appreciation of the brilliant pianist by insisting on numerous encores, and at the close of the concert they cheered the artist again and again. It is not often that Hamilton is included in the tour of a world-famous musician, and it is likely that musiclovers and others will look upon the occasion as a memorable one in the history of Hamilton. Moiseiwitsch is a story player, both physically and intellectually. His technique is prodigious, yet at the same time he is essentially poetic. This latter quality is especially marked in his delightful interpretation of modern music and also in Chopin numbers . As an exponent of Brahms and Beethoven he has Proved himself a classical player or tho first rank.
